There are many ways to promote an event, and developing a communications plan is a good starting point.
A communications or marketing plan is a document that effectively allows you to collate all your marketing strategies and ideas in one place and have a cohesive plan to promote your event.
It should consider who you are promoting your event to, what media you will use, key messages, timings and deadlines, budget and how you will measure your success.
It gives you a plan to follow and refer back to, and check your progress against, as you market your event.
