Getting started – the basics
- Avoid clashes – check the events calendar to see if there are any events conflicting with your preferred date
- Find a Council venue or park or Redlands Coast entertainment venue
- Apply for a Council approval – Food Business Licence, Traffic Control Permit or Temporary Entertainment Event Approval
- Develop your event plan – Event Management Plan, Emergency Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, COVID Safe Event Plan, Public Liability Insurance, Site Plan, and Event Planning Checklist
- Consider – traffic management, signage, amenities, environmental issues (waste, noise), entertainment (amusement rides, animals, movies, music, fireworks), liquor licence, temporary buildings and structures, access and inclusion, gas safety, electrical safety, volunteers, community awareness, security and incident management, first aid, event suppliers and sponsorship
- Think about how you will promote your event
